Last year I started a book review blog called ReadBetweenTheBindings. I really like reading and I really like talking & writing so I figured why not talk about what I read! I review everything that I read so if you are ever looking for good book recommendations check it out. Also recommend it to others that you think might like it! I add a few in-between-er posts that are not book related too.
On Wednesday next week (January 17th) I am sharing a review as part of a Blog Tour for a brand new book that just hit shelves. It is an LDS Fiction Novel, so if you like reading LDS authors please show some love by looking at my review of The Matchup by Laura L.Walker.
Now here is what I really wanted to blog about today! I recently added an in-between-er post on that site called Hug A Teacher. It's something that I feel strongly about as a parent. It's my take on teacher appreciation. If you're a parent and you are grateful for teachers can I get an "AMEN"!?

What happened to 2015?
Where does the time go?
Well lets wrap up another great year. Here is a recap of what happened with us:
Brad - planned a mini stay-cation for himself and the Mrs. and even arranged baby sitters!, puts up with his crazy wife and kids, was released as primary teacher and now has to go to elders quorum ha ha! Just teasing, he's now financial clerk, works very hard for his family as always, applied for a job in Cedar City, but decided it wasn't for him.
Randi - applied, interviewed and got a part time job at the elementary school, was released as primary president and cried like a baby, tore my calf muscle literally stopping me in my tracks, but recovered, chased children around (even when limping).
Garrett - had his first baseball tryout and played spring & fall, ended 3rd grade and started 4th! played flag football and LOVES the NFL, started jr.jazz which he hasn't done in years, went on a field trip to the symphony, Continues to run circles around us all.
Embrie - started all day school 1st grade! Is leaps and bounds ahead of reading level and loving it, danced at the Festival of Trees, started tumbling, participated in Fall Choir with her school, played some awesome soccer. started first time jr, jazz.
Maren- started her last year of Preschool, turned 4!, played soccer, has no lack of confidence ("everyone loves me"), danced at the Dicken's Festival and loves her friends and beanie boos (actually all the kids like those).
Our New Years Eve celebration consisted of us being very brave. We dressed up in longjohns, clothes on top, hoodies, coats, two pairs of gloves and two pairs of socks (3 if your name is Garrett), boots, hats, scarves..... whew! that's a lot of work.
Then we went out and braved the 10 degree temps at the Hogle Zoo with Zoo Lights.
1*We visited the Drum Bus which was really cool, we got to learn some different beats and drum with a group.
2* visited the animals that were available to see (Garrett was very happy we could see the Tiger) and if they weren't out we enjoyed the lights.
3* Rode the Carolsel & voted for an endangered animal for our proceeds to go to.
4* Made Animal Masks for New Years.
5* stayed just warm enough to stick it out until count down at 9pm!
