So this is something we should do more often. A while ago Garrett and Brad took the trax train down to the front runner and the front runner to Ogden to go pick up our car that was there. Then they stayed and had dinner with Papa and G.G. and had ice cream. It made for a long, fun trip for Garrett and dad to spend some time together and they had fun. But Embrie was left behind to hang out with mom at home, which wasn't bad, but she was looking forward to the time when she would get to ride the train. So we decided it was a good time for her first official "date with dad". (I know she should have had one before now, but you know -good intentions and all that . . . better late than never.)
So one day awhile back, I think before Maren was born. Brad took Embrie on the train. Their trip was shorter but still lots of fun.

brought a bag of candy home to share
This was a lot of fun for Embrie.
I think we'll be doing this stuff more often. Thinking up some fun ideas for a mom and son date.
